“To LOVE our city, we must KNOW our city. To KNOW our city, we must LISTEN to our city.”

We are excited to launch this landmark initiative to provide a COMPELLING picture of TOMORROW & a COMPREHENSIVE perspective of TODAY.

The State of the City Project consists of 5 initiatives:

1. A Demographic Study will provide increased insight into the current composition (age, race, gender, family, occupation, socio-economic, and migration patterns) of the Metro’s population as well as its projected growth and development.

2. The Barna City & Church Study will deliver improved research and expanded resources to help the City Church lead in a way that is more informed, better connected, and fully engaged as it lives out the Jesus-mission.

3. Neighborhood Assessments will reveal the unique story of neighborhoods and residents (history, values, spiritual landscape, cultural tensions, and strategic opportunities) that we may better understand and address the genuine needs and dreams of those who call the Metro home.

4. The State of Evangelism Report seeks to understand the Metro Church’s evangelistic effectiveness while inspiring and equipping leaders and Jesus-followers to share the story of Jesus winsomely, consistently, and effectively.

5. Outcomes describe the unacceptable realities in our city along with solutions for how we might collaboratively address them in the years to come so that, as a result of this project, more lives, neighborhoods and communities might be transformed by Jesus’ beauty and goodness.
