How Can We Lead Better...
If you're like most leaders, you probably agree that the world is going to look very different once the current pandemic subsides.
The truth is that it already does.
Just about everyone I know, from my next door neighbors to the church and business leaders I work alongside, has been in a mad dash for the last ten weeks trying to determine what the current crisis will mean for the future of our families, communities, businesses, and churches.
While it is vitally important to plan for whatever the future may hold.
The most important question we should be asking is not, "How will the world be different?" But, "How will we be different?"
While we can't control our circumstances, we can take responsibility for how we respond in the face of those circumstances and, in the words of the Apostle Paul, make the most of every opportunity for the good of our neighbors and the glory of Jesus.
This is why I'm excited about our next Citywide Leader Gathering on June 4! We'll be hosting special guest, Eric Swanson, who for the last 30 years has been mobilizing followers of Jesus around the world to reach and transform their cities!
In our conversation with Eric, we'll explore:
What this unique season means for our lives, leadership, and city.
Why we must learn to tell our story well.
How this can become the finest hour for the church as we live out the mission of Jesus!
So, join us via Zoom for a Citywide Leadership Gathering on June 4, from 11:45-1:00!
We're going to celebrate what we see God doing and share where we're going in the days ahead as we seek to saturate our city with the goodness and beauty of Jesus!
You can register for the event right here!
Before we go, I am excited to announce a brand new series of articles we'll be sharing every week that have been created by some incredible mental health and soul care providers in the Metro. And they just happen to be Within Reach network partners too!
I'm so proud of the way God has gifted the Church in our city with women and men who are experts in providing care and compassion, and I'm especially grateful for their leadership during times like these!
So, pay attention to your inboxes on Fridays for our Soul Care Series. We hope that it's a gift to you as leader, as well as to your church or organization.
Within Reach, we thank God for you and celebrate the countless ways that you are seeking to lead and love better during these difficult days.
Grateful,
Jed Mullenix
CEO // Within Reach
P.S. We want to give a big shout out to Alaina Nielson who was randomly selected as the winner of our Citywide Survey Giveaway! Congratulations Alaina! And thank you to everyone who contributed to the survey.
