For The Good Preview

For the Good is a practical, hope-filled guide designed to help Jesus-followers rediscover how everyday faith can quietly — and powerfully — renew neighborhoods and cities. Rooted in Scripture, informed by research, and shaped by real stories, this resource invites readers to live out the goodness of Jesus in ordinary places and relationships.

As loneliness, stress, and disconnection continue to rise, For the Good offers a different way forward — one that begins not with programs or pressure, but with presence. The guide centers on the neighborhood as a primary place where faith is formed, trust is built, and love is practiced over time.

At the heart of the guide is the B.L.E.S.S. framework — Begin with Prayer, Listen, Eat, Serve, and Share. These simple, repeatable rhythms help communities cultivate genuine relationships, meet real needs, and create space for meaningful spiritual conversations. The first movements focus on embodied goodness — praying for neighbors, listening well, opening tables, and serving consistently. From there, the guide equips readers to share the story of Jesus through their own story, offering practical tools and language for everyday moments when curiosity and openness arise.

Designed to be practiced together by leaders, groups of friends, and congregations, For the Good includes interactive exercises, discussion questions, and practical challenges that move faith from belief into shared action.

This guide exists to help ordinary people live in ways that invite good questions — and to be ready, when the time comes, to share the hope of Jesus with clarity, humility, and grace.
