Training Leaders
Leaders Across Our City, Equipped to Care
We believe every leader — whether in a business, a nonprofit, a school, or a church — should feel equipped to have meaningful conversations around mental health. That’s why we’re using Spiritual First Aid, a proven training designed to help people identify struggles, offer care, and connect others to the support they need.
And because we want this training to be accessible to everyone, we’re offering Spiritual First Aid at no cost to those who register.
Expanding Access
Care Where You Live and Work
Too often, people seeking counseling face barriers — distance, cost, or lack of availability. By working with CityCare Counseling, we’re creating local hubs where care is close, affordable, and accessible. Our vision is that no one in our city should ever be more than 15 minutes from a trusted counseling hub located in a church, nonprofit, or business.
Developing Counselors
Meeting the Need for Counselors in Our City
The need for Christian counselors far outweighs the current supply. That’s why we’re investing in the next generation, creating a clear pathway from graduate training to placement in local counseling hubs.
Through our partnership with Crown College, students can pursue a graduate degree in counseling with a direct pipeline into internships, mentorship, and ultimately serving in a counseling hub in our city. Crown is also offering a 25% tuition discount for members of Within Reach churches, making this journey more accessible than ever.
Resources
The Within Reach churches are committed to sharing the programs, ministries, and tools that make a real difference in mental health.
From conversation guides and referral networks to training opportunities and support groups, these resources are designed to help you take the next step in caring for mental health — in your family, workplace, nonprofit, or church.
State of the City
In 2023, we listened to our neighbors and leaders across the Omaha Metro to understand what helps our city thrive and where our greatest needs lie.
